Frequently Asked Questions About Cabinet Refacing in Southeast Florida

Deciding how to modernize your kitchen is a significant choice for any Stuart homeowner, so we’ve gathered answers to the questions most frequently asked at our Treasure Coast design studio.
How long will the refacing process take in my home?
The majority of cabinet refacing projects in the Southeast Florida region are completed in only three to five days. In contrast to a heavy kitchen demolition that can drag on for weeks, our streamlined approach is incredibly efficient, allowing you to resume your normal schedule quickly. We perform the heavy preparation at our local facility, resulting in less construction time inside your residence and more time enjoying your refreshed coastal interior.
Absolutely, one of the main advantages of our refacing process is that your kitchen remains usable throughout the update. Since the primary cabinet structures stay in place, your countertops and appliances usually remain undisturbed. While we recommend clearing out your cabinets for the most thorough finish, you will maintain access to your sink and cooking areas while our craftsmen work on your home.
It is. We use industrial-grade furniture veneers and custom-fabricated doors specifically engineered to withstand the high humidity and salty air typical of the Treasure Coast. By professionally bonding these high-quality materials to your existing, solid frames, we produce a final result that is every bit as sturdy and long-lasting as brand-new cabinetry. This work is supported by our commitment to precision and local craftsmanship.
While every home from Hobe Sound to Jensen Beach is unique, refacing generally costs between 30% and 50% less than purchasing entirely new cabinets. By keeping the structural “bones” of your kitchen intact, you bypass the high expenses associated with demolition and structural rebuilding. This allows you to reallocate your budget toward premium touches like quartz countertops or high-end hardware that reflects your personal taste.
During our first site visit to your home, we perform a detailed assessment of your current cabinet boxes. Refacing is an ideal solution if your frames are structurally healthy and level. If we find minor issues, we can frequently reinforce or repair the frames prior to applying the new veneer. Should the underlying structure be too compromised, we will offer a transparent recommendation for a full cabinetry replacement.
Refacing is primarily designed to transform the appearance of your existing layout. However, we can frequently integrate a matching kitchen island or additional cabinets to boost your storage capacity and utility. If your goal is to relocate your stove or sink to a different area, we may suggest a more comprehensive remodel to ensure all plumbing and electrical systems are updated safely and correctly.
