A Sophisticated At-Home Spa Master Bath in Southeast Florida Seen First in Virtual Reality

How DreamMaker created a blues-and-whites spa bathroom for clients who wanted easy tub access, a shower bench, and a bright open feel - removing a wall, replacing a heavy tub with a freestanding unit, and cutting soffits to open the ceiling.

Project Overview

A Dream Master Bathroom. Seen in VR Before a Single Tile Was Set.

These clients came to DreamMaker after hearing wonderful things from neighbors who had just finished a remodel. Their vision was clear: a spa-like master bathroom, sophisticated and elegant, in blues and whites, with easy tub access, a shower bench, and an open and bright feel. DreamMaker created 3D renderings and previewed them via ProKitchen Virtual Reality and an Oculus headset. The clients were amazed and ready to start immediately.

About The Neighborhood

Southeast Florida is one of the state’s most sought-after regions, known for its vibrant coastal communities, year-round sunshine, and relaxed lifestyle. From established neighborhoods to growing communities, the region offers the perfect blend of waterfront living, modern conveniences, and easy access to shopping, dining, and recreation.

The Challenge

What Wasn’t Working

Before the remodel, the space faced several challenges:

A dated bathtub and a wall separating the shower from the rest of the room
Heavy soffits making the ceilings appear lower and the space feel compressed
A layout that felt closed off and disconnected from natural light
Clients with a specific, sophisticated vision who needed to see it clearly before committing

Like many homes in Cave Springs, the master bath retained its original footprint — creating real functional limitations for a busy household and making what should be a personal retreat feel like an afterthought.

BEFORE:

“Seeing the design in the VR headset made us certain. DreamMaker created exactly the spa atmosphere we envisioned – the freestanding tub, the glass wall, the bright white tile. It’s everything.”

The Solution

Built Around Blues, Whites, and the Feel of a True Spa Retreat.

To solve the bathroom’s layout and style challenges, DreamMaker redesigned the master bath with improved flow, custom storage, natural light, and a clean modern finish. Removing the unused Jacuzzi unlocked the footprint entirely, custom cabinetry made every inch purposeful, and thoughtful material choices brought the spa-like atmosphere the homeowners had always wanted.

Key Improvements included:

Dated bathtub and wall separating shower from the room fully removed
Heavy soffits removed to open up the ceiling height throughout
Freestanding tub installed with bright white tile throughout the room
Wall separating the shower cut down and replaced with a glass wall - inviting natural light throughout
New vanity cabinet with furniture-style aesthetic replacing the standard cabinet base
Full design created in 3D and previewed in ProKitchen Virtual Reality with Oculus headset before any construction began
