Project Overview

A Mural, Crumbling Cabinets, and a Palette That No Longer Fit.

This home had a strong Charleston/Southern character throughout – and the guest bathroom matched it completely, down to the busy mural and the cabinets that were falling apart. The owners were ready for something more modern, something that maintained a compatible grey-and-white palette without veering too far from the rest of the home. DreamMaker delivered a 4-inch textured mosaic tile accent wall, grout-free shower floor, and a seamless grey-and-white palette that finally fit where this home was headed.

About The Neighborhood

Southeast Florida is one of the state’s most sought-after regions, known for its vibrant coastal communities, year-round sunshine, and relaxed lifestyle. From established neighborhoods to growing communities, the region offers the perfect blend of waterfront living, modern conveniences, and easy access to shopping, dining, and recreation.

The Challenge

What Wasn’t Working

Before the remodel, the space faced several challenges:

A busy mural and cabinetry that were disintegrating and out of step with the owners' evolving taste
No visual interest upon entering the bathroom
Storage that offered only open or only closed options - not both
Grout joints in the shower floor creating maintenance issues
Grout joints in the shower floor creating maintenance issues
A palette too warm and busy for the modern direction the homeowners wanted

Like many homes in Cave Springs, the master bath retained its original footprint — creating real functional limitations for a busy household and making what should be a personal retreat feel like an afterthought.

BEFORE:

“The mosaic tile wall is exactly the statement we were looking for. It makes an impact the moment you walk in. And the grout-free shower floor was a detail we didn’t know we needed until we saw it.”

The Solution

Built Around Visual Impact and Seamless Maintenance.

To solve the bathroom’s layout and style challenges, DreamMaker redesigned the master bath with improved flow, custom storage, natural light, and a clean modern finish. Removing the unused Jacuzzi unlocked the footprint entirely, custom cabinetry made every inch purposeful, and thoughtful material choices brought the spa-like atmosphere the homeowners had always wanted.

Key Improvements included:

4-inch deep accent wall built directly behind the sink vanity and clad with textured mosaic tile - serving as the bold visual focal point upon entry
Cabinet below the sink designed to offer both open and closed storage options
Same countertop material used on the shower floor - creating a seamless, grout-free surface
Various shades of grey and white selected to complement the creamy tones throughout the rest of the home
Dated, dark, and busy space transformed into a modernized, seamless, and clean bathroom
