A Master Bathroom Spa Transformation in Southeast Florida Designed in Virtual Reality

How DreamMaker created a spa-like master bath for clients who downsized - wrapping porcelain slab from the freestanding tub into the shower, adding a glass wall for light, and using VR to seal the deal before a single tile was set.

Project Overview

A Spa-Like Atmosphere. Complimentary to Everything Around It.

These clients had recently downsized and wanted their master bathroom to feel like a high-end spa – easy tub access, open and bright, and a palette of greys and whites that felt sophisticated rather than cold. DreamMaker used 3D renderings and a ProKitchen VR headset to show them the design before construction began. They were impressed and ready to start immediately.

About The Neighborhood

Southeast Florida is one of the state’s most sought-after regions, known for its vibrant coastal communities, year-round sunshine, and relaxed lifestyle. From established neighborhoods to growing communities, the region offers the perfect blend of waterfront living, modern conveniences, and easy access to shopping, dining, and recreation.

The Challenge

What Wasn’t Working

Before the remodel, the space faced several challenges:

A dated bathtub and a wall separating the shower from the rest of the room
A layout that felt closed off and disconnected from natural light
No spa character - nothing that felt luxurious or intentional
Clients needed to see the design clearly before committing to the transformation

Like many homes in Cave Springs, the master bath retained its original footprint — creating real functional limitations for a busy household and making what should be a personal retreat feel like an afterthought.

BEFORE:

“After seeing the design in the VR headset we knew exactly what we were getting. DreamMaker delivered a stunning master bathroom that we love – the porcelain slab accent wall alone is worth every penny.”

The Solution

Built Around Light, Stone, and Spa-Level Elegance.

To solve the bathroom’s layout and style challenges, DreamMaker redesigned the master bath with improved flow, custom storage, natural light, and a clean modern finish. Removing the unused Jacuzzi unlocked the footprint entirely, custom cabinetry made every inch purposeful, and thoughtful material choices brought the spa-like atmosphere the homeowners had always wanted.

Key Improvements included:

Dated bathtub removed and replaced with a freestanding easy-access unit
Dark grey pebble tile installed beneath the tub - creating the effect of a tub resting on a bed of rocks
Porcelain slab accent wall created, wrapping continuously from behind the tub into the shower
Pebble tile extended from beneath the tub into the shower floor and into a vertical accent band on the wall
Wall separating the shower cut down and replaced with a glass wall - welcoming natural light throughout
New vanity cabinet with furniture-style aesthetic replacing the standard cabinet base
Full design previewed in 3D renderings and ProKitchen Virtual Reality Oculus headset before construction
