About The Neighborhood
Palm City, Florida is one of the Treasure Coast’s most desirable communities, known for its quiet neighborhoods, scenic waterfronts, and family-friendly atmosphere. With a relaxed pace of life and convenient access to nearby shopping, dining, and beaches, Palm City offers an ideal balance of comfort, convenience, and coastal living.
The Challenge
What Wasn’t Working
- Dated front door, arched windows, and light fixtures offering no wow factor at entry
- Sunken living room requiring a step down to access - disrupting flow from entry to living space
- A wall between the kitchen and dining room concealing not one but two steel columns
- A small original kitchen making the room feel chopped up and cut off
- A dated bathroom with a shower that was never used
- Former kitchen space wasted - needed a better use
Like many homes in Cave Springs, the master bath retained its original footprint — creating real functional limitations for a busy household and making what should be a personal retreat feel like an afterthought.
BEFORE:
“The buffet that hides the steel columns became the most highlighted and appreciated part of the home. We never expected an obstacle to become the centerpiece. DreamMaker turned every challenge into an opportunity.”

Built Room by Room, Floor to Ceiling.
To solve the bathroom’s layout and style challenges, DreamMaker redesigned the master bath with improved flow, custom storage, natural light, and a clean modern finish. Removing the unused Jacuzzi unlocked the footprint entirely, custom cabinetry made every inch purposeful, and thoughtful material choices brought the spa-like atmosphere the homeowners had always wanted.
Key Improvements included:
- Dated arched windows cut and reformed to rectangular - complementing the contemporary direction from the outside in
- All windows and doors replaced with impact-resistant versions throughout
- New molding, baseboards, crown molding, and door/window casings throughout
- Sunken living room floor raised to create seamless flow from entry to living space
- Large drywall beams and wall removed between foyer and new kitchen area
- Wall between kitchen and dining removed - revealing two steel columns, one unexpected
- Custom buffet designed to elegantly conceal both columns - now the home's focal point
- Kitchen relocated entirely into the new open floor plan with a large island replacing the old sitting room and wet bar
- Structural beam inserted in ceiling to support the new kitchen's extended layout
- Vented hood added to create a focal point above the dramatic backsplash
- New impact sliding glass doors installed from kitchen side to pool deck
- Dated bathroom transformed with shiplap feature wall and custom mirror made from beam materials
- Shower removed and toilet relocated to allow for a larger vanity area
- Former kitchen converted into a spacious laundry room
