Project Overview
Crafting a Modern Space for Hosting
Living in a vibrant, close-knit downtown Bentonville neighborhood, this family of six needed a kitchen that could support their active lifestyle and frequent hosting needs. Their previous industrial modern barn style and restrictive layout did not accommodate their large family or desire to entertain guests seamlessly.
This 2025 Dream Award Winner Bentonville remodel successfully upgraded the space through a smart pull-and-replace design that maintained existing structural and mechanical footprints while dramatically improving functionality. The updated design features an expanded waterfall island with seating, a dedicated coffee bar, and multiple prep zones tailored for effortless indoor-outdoor entertaining near the pool.

About The Neighborhood
Situated in a vibrant, trendy downtown Bentonville neighborhood, this home enjoys a close-knit community vibe with frequent neighborhood gatherings and block parties. The area features charming brownstones with narrow streets and rear-access garages, emphasizing a strong sense of shared neighborhood connection.
The Challenge
Navigating Space and Logistics
- Restricted island layout lacking seating space for family
- Industrial modern barn style clashing with upscale needs
- Narrow street access complicating material deliveries and staging
- Active family of six living on-site during construction
- Disjointed back wall separating counters and blocking flow
The project required careful coordination to manage tight downtown delivery logistics and maintain a safe, clean work zone while a family of six lived on-site. Thoughtful planning ensured the pull-and-replace renovation minimized disruption without sacrificing high-end design.
BEFORE:
“We had a full kitchen and bar remodel and the wood flooring in our entire house replaced. DreamMaker (Scott and Mary) did such a great job. From Mary’s design vision to the execution and cleanup- I couldn’t have been happier. Workers did and great job, showed up every day, kept my home clean, and the final product was of the highest quality. I would use them again in a heartbeat!”
