This whole-home update in Cave Springs was about more than aesthetics—it was about transforming daily function while honoring an already-developed architectural vision. With a desire for Scandinavian-inspired warmth and clean lines, the focus of this remodel was not just on materials and layout, but on how each room could work harder for the lifestyle it supports.
Kitchen: Sleek Function with Thoughtful Details
The kitchen received a custom upgrade with maple cabinetry painted in Sherwin Williams Oyster White, accented with black-stained maple for a crisp, modern contrast. Overhead, each upper cabinet includes interior lighting for enhanced visibility and ambiance.
A standout feature is the built-in hutch, constructed from walnut with a Sparrow stain, with doors that fold entirely into the cabinet box, creating a fully accessible coffee bar. The custom range hood, handcrafted by DreamMaker’s in-house carpenter, echoes the cabinetry with walnut slats in Sparrow stain over maple, tying the space together with textural warmth.
The kitchen island features a unique, movable waterfall walnut countertop extension—allowing for expanded prep or serving space when needed. All countertops are finished in Cambria Smithfield quartz, chosen for its durability and timeless appearance.
Cabinet hardware throughout the kitchen is Belwith Keeler Monarch, adding a subtle, elegant finish.
Laundry Room: Built for Real Life
The laundry room was reimagined with both form and function in mind. Cabinetry in Benjamin Moore Golden Lab (satin finish) brings a sunny, inviting palette to the space. A deep laundry sink serves double duty as a comfortable dog wash station, with storage placed above and below for convenience.
DreamMaker’s designer added a discreet but highly practical touch: an end cabinet tucked into the entryway, creating a hidden drop zone for mail, keys, and everyday essentials. Generous cubbies and full-height cabinets make the room a hardworking hub of the home.
Bathroom Upgrades: Improved Layout and Outdoor Flow
The former Jack-and-Jill bathroom was closed off and converted into a true ensuite, offering guests a private and more functional layout.
A brand-new half bath was also created with dual access: from the laundry room and directly from the backyard. This thoughtful design offers convenient entry for guests using the outdoor pool, minimizing traffic through the main living areas.
Fireplace Feature
The home’s fireplace surround was elevated with full porcelain slab cladding, adding a sleek, contemporary focal point to the living space. (Final slab product name can be added when available.)
