Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom
This wonderful family had a need to have a functioning secondary bathroom that would accommodate wheelchair accessibility. Because of not having this type of bathroom, the family had to go to a relative’s home to shower in a zero-entry shower. This inconvenience caused them to begin thinking of a solution to their home bathroom situation. After searching for a remodeling company through Google, this family found and contacted DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Greater Rockwall to inquire about transforming a standard hall bathroom to a wheelchair accessible room this immediate need in their family. After meeting with DreamMaker and following their process, this homeowner decided to proceed with DreamMaker. DreamMaker listened to their desires and suggestions, brought the many product samples to their Design Center and pulled together every item needed to make this bathroom the best functioning bathroom for wheelchair accessibility. The lady of the home was extremely knowledgeable of the most minute details which has brought tremendous impact to the ease and functionality of this bathroom. Now they are able to provide more independence for the family member using the wheelchair, along with a safer, better area for the caregiver. The family appreciated the relationship developed with DreamMaker as they all worked together to provide the wonderful, much-needed bathroom. What a joy to see the benefits of this family being able to fully use their secondary bathroom with a wheelchair!
FROM DIM & OLDER – TO LIGHT & BRIGHT
This homeowner’s primary bathroom was nearing 30 years old, and they desired a full pull and replace update. The room was not as bright with limited lighting, had a small emerald green tiled shower, with a gold framed shower glass, an emerald green garden tub, a cubed glass window, gold faucet fixtures, no door to the toilet area, and two closets with insufficient shelving and needed organized storage. One of the closets had sliding, mirrored gold-trimmed doors needing replacement. The black granite countertops added to the darkness of the room. The light fixtures were gold and only produced a small amount of light. Popcorn texture was on the ceiling which was popular in the year the house was built. The light switches were gold in color. The flooring had smaller square tiles which required a lot of effort to keep the grout clean. Both the bathroom and closets needed painting. Some of the walls needed crack repairs due to previous foundation movement and repair. Permits were needed to perform the work and was coordinated and managed with the city by DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen.
“We worked with DreamMaker to help us pick out and install new handles on all of our cabinets. Kitchen and bathrooms included. Julie and Clint were such a pleasure to work with! They were kind, professional, and efficient. Would highly recommend them for your next project!”

“Clint and Julie Chappel were very punctual coming to our house to help us determine the pulls we wanted for our cabinets. Once the pulls came in they arranged a time for installation. Clint and his son arrived on time and had 47 pulls installed within 4 hours. Clint had a calibrated tool to determine where to drill two holes for each pull. Not all cabinets and drawers were the same size, so Clint had to measure each one. They vacuumed the area as they installed the pulls and then vacuumed again when completed.”

They are willing to go above and beyond on helping you with your project and the quality of their work and materials are impeccable.
