A Kitchen Refresh in Hillsboro That Relocated Appliances, Removed a Window, and Polished the Result

How DreamMaker improved function and flow for trusted Hillsboro clients by relocating key appliances, removing a window, updating the one above the sink, and delivering a more polished, cohesive kitchen that made a modest renovation feel significant.

Project Overview

Trusted Clients. A Focused Refresh. A Big Result.

These Hillsboro homeowners had worked with DreamMaker before – and came back with a clear, practical goal: improve function and storage without a major overhaul. DreamMaker relocated key appliances, removed a window that was no longer serving the space, and updated the window above the sink with a new design that brought both style and balance. The result is a more polished, cohesive kitchen that feels significantly better than the sum of its changes.

About The Neighborhood

Hillsboro is one of Central Texas’s most welcoming small communities — a historic, family-friendly city with beautiful Victorian homes, charming neighborhoods, and an easy pace that belies its prime location right on the booming I-35 corridor.

The Challenge

What Wasn’t Working

Before the remodel, the space faced several challenges:

Like many homes in Cave Springs, the master bath retained its original footprint — creating real functional limitations for a busy household and making what should be a personal retreat feel like an afterthought.

BEFORE:

“Though modest in scale, this thoughtful renovation made a big impact – giving our kitchen a more polished and cohesive look. DreamMaker understood exactly what we needed.”

The Solution

Built Around Function, Flow, and a Polished Finish.

To solve the bathroom’s layout and style challenges, DreamMaker redesigned the master bath with improved flow, custom storage, natural light, and a clean modern finish. Removing the unused Jacuzzi unlocked the footprint entirely, custom cabinetry made every inch purposeful, and thoughtful material choices brought the spa-like atmosphere the homeowners had always wanted.

Key Improvements included:

Key appliances relocated for improved workflow and storage throughout
Unnecessary window removed to free up valuable wall space
Window above the sink updated with a new design bringing style and visual balance
Quartz counters and Ruvati sink installed as part of the overall refresh
New lighting and paint completing the cohesive updated look
