Modern European & Coastal
Bathroom Remodeling
Project Overview
From 1960s Cramped to Euro-Style Bright.
This Wilmington bathroom was everything you don’t want – dark, cramped, poorly ventilated, a rusty cast-iron tub, moldy ceiling with peeling paint, and a door that barely cleared the toilet when open. The homeowner wanted a complete transformation into a contemporary euro wet room that felt coastal, clean, and easy to maintain. DreamMaker delivered exactly that.

About The Neighborhood
Wilmington is one of North Carolina’s most sought-after coastal communities — a vibrant, family-friendly city with historic homes, tree-lined neighborhoods, and an easy pace that belies its proximity to the region’s booming business corridor.
The Challenge
What Wasn’t Working
- A cramped, dark, and poorly ventilated 1960s bathroom throughout
- A rusty cast-iron tub in need of full replacement
- A moldy ceiling with peeling paint
- A door that opened inward, barely clearing the toilet and blocking the vanity
- No accessibility features, poor flow, and no privacy soundproofing
Like many homes in Cave Springs, the master bath retained its original footprint — creating real functional limitations for a busy household and making what should be a personal retreat feel like an afterthought.
