Project Overview

A Standard Tub. Replaced With Something Far Better.

This Wrightsville Beach bathroom had a standard tub and shower in the wrong position with nothing distinctive about it. The homeowners wanted something they would actually love – a proper soaking tub, a beautiful tile surround, a vanity with real furniture-style character, and flooring that made the whole room feel elevated. DreamMaker relocated and replaced the tub, added marble tile throughout, and delivered exactly that.

Location: North Carolina

Neighborhood: Wrightsville Beach

About The Neighborhood

Wrightsville Beach is one of North Carolina’s most sought-after coastal communities, known for its pristine beaches, waterfront homes, and laid-back coastal lifestyle. Residents enjoy a vibrant beach town atmosphere with easy access to boating, dining, and outdoor recreation, all while being just minutes from the cultural attractions, shopping, and business opportunities of downtown Wilmington.

The Challenge

What Wasn’t Working

Before the remodel, the space faced several challenges:

A standard tub and shower insert in a position that wasn't working for the layout
No furniture-style vanity or elevated design detail anywhere in the space
Plain flooring with no character or connection to the homeowners' aesthetic
Dated lighting throughout
A bathroom that functioned fine but inspired no one

Like many homes in Cave Springs, the master bath retained its original footprint — creating real functional limitations for a busy household and making what should be a personal retreat feel like an afterthought.

BEFORE:

“They love their new bathroom. Relocating the tub and building a proper tile surround and marble floor transformed a perfectly ordinary room into something genuinely special.”
