The start of the year is peak season for many bathroom renovation companies. It’s also the time when new trends begin to surface. Understanding these trends can give your own bathroom remodeling goals a solid direction.
As a homeowner, it can be challenging to plan, design and carry out an entire project on your own. That’s why it’s recommended that you enlist the help of reliable contractors to do the job. Our team of builders and designers at DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Tyler are here to give you some trendy bathroom design inspiration that’s perfect for the new year.
Lighting Upgrades
A smaller space is a bit of a double-edged sword when it comes to lighting. On the one hand, it’s not difficult to find bulbs that can light up the whole room, but on the other, you also want to find a good type of fixture that can create the mood you’re after. Integrated lighting is a 2020 trend that answers these problems. LED strips incorporated under the counters or behind vanity mirrors lend themselves well to bathroom settings.
Marble & Stone
Marbled floors make any bathroom look and feel luxurious but genuine marble can be expensive. This year, the trends lean toward marbleized wallpaper as an alternative. These design elements help give your bathroom the same appeal as genuine marble minus the hefty price tag.
There’s also another trend that’s starting to gain traction in 2020: travertine. In an effort to create “warmer” bathrooms, designers and homeowners are looking for “softer” stone substitutes for bathroom floors. Travertine and limestone floors offer a great balance of cost, warmth and luxury that makes them perfect for a modern bathroom.
Trims & Finishes
Nothing rounds out a home remodeling project like the right finishes. The same is true for bathrooms, and 2020 is seeing brass make a comeback as a finish for bathroom fixtures. Brass faucets, showers and even vanity frames blend surprisingly well into the white backdrops of most bathroom designs.
