Project Overview

A Bathroom Finally Worthy of a Primary Suite.

When these Burlington homeowners moved their primary bedroom to the first floor to make their lake house their forever home, they needed a bathroom that could become a genuine private oasis – not the cramped single bathroom that had always served the entire house. DreamMaker designed a complete reimagination: walk-in tile shower with frameless glass, custom vanities with dedicated makeup area, generous storage, and a separate guest powder room carved out of the existing footprint.

About The Neighborhood

Burlington is one of Southeastern Wisconsin’s most sought-after communities — a historic, family-friendly city with charming homes, tree-lined neighborhoods, and an easy pace that belies its convenient proximity to the Milwaukee and Chicago business corridors.

The Challenge

What Wasn’t Working

Before the remodel, the space faced several challenges:

The only first-floor bathroom was too small and too public for a primary suite
Cramped space with limited storage and counter space throughout
An inefficient layout with a separate tub that was rarely used and a small shower
No privacy separation between the primary suite and guest bathroom needs

Like many homes in Cave Springs, the master bath retained its original footprint — creating real functional limitations for a busy household and making what should be a personal retreat feel like an afterthought.

BEFORE:

“The new bathroom completely transformed how we live in this house. Having a real primary suite on the first floor – with a proper walk-in shower and dedicated vanity space – changed everything about the way we use our home.”

The Solution

Built Around Privacy, Storage, and Spa-Level Comfort.

To solve the bathroom’s layout and style challenges, DreamMaker redesigned the master bath with improved flow, custom storage, natural light, and a clean modern finish. Removing the unused Jacuzzi unlocked the footprint entirely, custom cabinetry made every inch purposeful, and thoughtful material choices brought the spa-like atmosphere the homeowners had always wanted.

Key Improvements included:

Modern tile pattern selected for an upscale, cohesive look throughout
Custom vanities with ample storage and a dedicated makeup area
Walk-in tile shower with frameless glass designed for a spa-like daily experience
Separate guest powder room created and optimized for privacy from the primary suite
Aduramax LVP Flooring, Showplace Cabinetry, quartz vanity tops, and MSI tile shower throughout
