Disconnected to Dream Kitchen
Project Story
When this client first visited our Stuart, Florida design center, they knew they needed to refresh their kitchen but weren’t sure how to approach it. Our design consultant visited their home and immediately suggested removing the wall separating their kitchen and dining area. Our clients had never considered this option. Our consultant created the design using ProKitchen software and utilized the Oculus Virtual reality glasses. The client was so impressed and agreed the wall needed to go!
This complete transformation included replacing the old Thermofoil cabinets with gorgeous Showplace Wood Products’ cabinets in refreshing white for the wall cabinets and a dark grey finish for the island. Their new quartz countertops are white with grey and brown veining and their backsplash helped modernize an outdated arched window over the sink. We added gas to the island for their new cooktop and two very large black lantern-style lights above to draw your eye to the center of the room. By reconfiguring the location of the major appliances they were able to get a larger refrigerator and a double oven. We also completely transformed the built-in wet bar by adding beautiful new cabinets, countertop and a “WOW” accent backsplash.
The last advice the design consultant gave was to add a wall and make their existing family room a separate space. The homeowners loved this idea! They purchased a sofa bed and now have additional room to host overnight guests.
Our clients entertain guests often and are always excited to show-off their new “Dream” kitchen!
