Deeply Rooted in the Northern Nevada Community
Our story began in Truckee where industry veterans Shawn Colvin and Mark Gonda first met. Mark brought extensive experience in production and home building project management, rooted in his deep family ties to the Reno area. Shawn brought a background in high end design from Los Angeles and Las Vegas, having previously worked with elite clients like Oprah Winfrey and Celine Dion. They wanted to build a company that was fundamentally better than the typical construction experience. When they discovered the DreamMaker franchise, its faith based foundation and strong Code of Values perfectly aligned with their vision to provide exceptional service with true class and high morals.
Since launching in March 2019 and opening our Del Monte Lane Design Center shortly after, our journey has been one of continuous growth and learning. Dawn joined the team to provide crucial operational support when the remodeling industry boomed during the pandemic. In late 2020, Shawn’s son Jeremy came on board, elevating our sales and design capabilities to entirely new levels. Today, we are proud to be a close knit work family that leans into challenges, supports one another, and gives back to the community, including our ongoing sponsorship of the local VFW Post 9211 remodel.

Meet with a DreamMaker designer in our Design Center to share your vision and inspiration. Next, we’ll schedule your home survey and design review.
We’ll visit your home to measure, photograph, and review any structural or system needs, ensuring your plan and estimate are precise. Then, we’ll schedule your design review.
We’ll go over your custom designs and finalize a plan that reflects your vision. Along with the designs, you’ll get detailed proposals so you can see the costs and make informed choices.
The contract lays out your project scope, start date, timeline, and all necessary documents, so everyone is on the same page. We’re committed to delivering exactly what we promise.
Once your plans and agreements are set, your Project Manager will meet with you to go over the project scope, timeline, and construction process—making sure all details are clear before work begins.
Your Project Manager oversees the remodel, keeping everything on track and answering any questions along the way.
