What to Expect During Your DreamMaker Design Consultation

So you’ve decided to give your kitchen or bathroom a facelift. You know that it deserves an upgrade, but sometimes, the rush of ideas and concepts can get so overwhelming that you can’t figure out where to start. This is where DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Larimer County comes in. A design consultation with our team of experienced specialists allows you to bring your vision for your living space to life. It is not just about learning the total kitchen or bathroom cost but also understanding your needs and finding the best solution that works for you. Read on as we explain the process involved in a DreamMaker design consultation.

Initial Meeting With the Designer

The first step of the design consultation process involves one of our designers learning everything about you and your project. They’ll ask you questions about your needs, preferences, and lifestyle so they can craft a sound remodeling plan that takes your unique style into consideration. You can bring an imageboard containing all the interior design ideas and inspirations with you so they can fully understand your vision for your living space.

Home Survey

After the initial meeting with our designer, we’ll visit your home at your most convenient time and assess the space you want to renovate. Here, the team will take measurements, take note of the current layout, and look for any issues that need to be addressed before the remodel can begin. The designer will also consider any existing architectural features or design elements you intend to keep. All the information obtained in this part of the process will influence the accuracy of your bathroom or kitchen estimate.

Design Review and Proposal

After getting all the necessary information, the team will begin creating a design plan. We’ll present you with possible visualizations of the finished space, as well as a variety of options, ranging from material samples to color swatches. We’ll review everything until we arrive at a final design plan that matches your vision and meets your needs and budget.

Agreement

Once the design is finalized, the designer will provide you with a detailed document that outlines the entire remodeling project, setting clear expectations as to how everything will go moving forward. Apart from the materials, labor and other expenses involved, it will also provide information of the target start date, the duration of the work, and the necessary permits and documents. Be sure to read the agreement carefully and make some clarifications before signing on the dotted line.
