This was a tired early ‘80’s bathroom that was in dire need for a beautiful makeover. Our goal was to capture the images that the clients had compiled and mold them into the footprint of their existing master bath while making this vision something they could afford.
Their desires were to have a larger and more functional shower, more storage, ditch the whirlpool tub and carpeted floor, and make the space elegant with the personality of its owner. We replaced the whirlpool tub with a lower cost but not lower quality freestanding tub option and put in porcelain tile that replicated real marble with beautiful heavy veining. We also increased the bathroom’s storage with a shallow base cabinet with uppers, which gave them a clear line of vision to the left when entering the bath. Two medicine cabinets over each vanity were built to be 4” deep for additional storage, and mirrors, trimming, lighting, and crown molding made the cabinets look like furniture and blend with the rest of the vanity. A low-cost alternative to marble countertops was quartz countertop that still looked stunning.
This remodel resulted in a beautiful bathroom that could have cost much more, and the clients were overjoyed with their new master bath!
