Complete Master Bathroom Remodel

This complete master bathroom remodel took place in Harvest, AL. After hearing the client's goals and ideas of their "dream" bathroom, we knew it would be a complete gut job. It was demoed down to studs in order to reconfigure the layout to make it more functional for the client's needs. This 1950's bathroom had lots of potential. And by removing the wall that seperated the water closet from the rest of the bathroom and relocating the tub and shower, we were able to create an open concept layout that better suited the client.

The design for this project incorporated an open concept layout by removing the wall that seperated the water closet from the rest of the bathroom. By doing this, we were able to switch the location of the tub and shower. Moving the shower to the old tub location allowed us to install an 8 ft. walk-in custom Onyx shower enclosure. This solid surface material was taken all the way to the ceiling, with a black tile accent to add more character and detail to tie into the rest of the bathroom. This shower has no shower door at the request of the client. A rainshower head and regular shower head were both installed with a divertor. All trims and divertors are located at the entrance of the shower so the client can easily access without getting wet. For safety, grab bars were installed throughout the bathroom, placed specifically where the client felt it would be needed as they move around the bathroom. Cleanability was very important in this project. Because of this, we settled on the Onyx Collection solid surface material for the countertop and shower surround. The Onyx countertop has an integrated sink with no seam, allowing for quick and easy clean up. Luxury Vinyl Tile was installed for the flooring. By using all of these products, we were able to drastrically reduce grout lines and places where dirt can build up. Wellborn Forest Cabinetry was used for the vanity, toilet topper, and linen closet. All accessories selected and installed, including the shower glass trim, were matte black. Stained trim was painted white along with repainting of the walls and ceiling.
