Shaker and Slate

The Details:

• Our client disliked the laminate countertops and backsplash tile in the kitchen
• They also found the raised dishwasher and track lighting distasteful
• The paint color gave the kitchen and dining room a dated look
• Our client especially disliked the ceramic tile floor
• The one thing our client did like about their kitchen and dining room was the layout
• They wanted the kitchen to look fresh and clean but not clinical

New Look:

• We used slate flooring to achieve a natural, yet modern feel
• A distressed, artisan-style backsplash tile was used to provide some contrast with the white cabinets
• A gray island with raised end panels broke up the white in the kitchen and tied the cabinetry in with the slate flooring
• Custom wallpaper (provided by our client) completed the transformation!
