We had recently built a corner stone fireplace and mantle for these homeowners, and they were looking to complete the look by updating their vaulted ceiling in their living room. They hated the popcorn texture on the ceiling and the lack of interest and detail, and felt that the room was too plain and needed some visual interest. We added a smooth ceiling and wooden beams that accented the ceiling height and added warmth to the space. The beams compliment the beauty of the stone fireplace, and the room now has an almost chapel-like feel and is their own private sanctuary.
