Kitchen – Southwestern Warmth
Project Name
Kitchen - Southwestern Warmth
Project Summary
This client felt the kitchen flow just did not work. The dining area was blocked by a room divider/cabinet, keeping the cook in the kitchen cut-off from conversation. The divider also blocked much of the light making the dining area dark. They wanted the dining area and the kitchen area to flow together, more cabinet space, granite counter tops, under cabinet lighting, and the back door replaced. The overall completed look was Santa Fe southwestern. The flooring was replaced with tile which extended into the dining area making it much more cohesive and pleasing to the eye. The complimenting mosaic backsplash and the rustic terra cotta lighting over the island kept with the Santa Fe theme. The sink was moved over under the window, which enabled the center island size to be reduced. The entire space now works much better for family and friend gatherings.
