Project Overview
A Bathroom She Could Finally Feel at Home In.
This Portland homeowner wanted a bathroom that truly felt like her own: cozy, bright, and a space she could be proud of. DreamMaker updated the vanity with stylish new cabinetry, replaced outdated surfaces with a quartz countertop, refreshed the shower with white subway tile and a frameless glass door, and installed new flooring throughout. The result of this Portland-area remodel is a light, inviting retreat she now lovingly calls her own little mini spa.

About The Neighborhood
Portland is one of Oregon’s most sought-after communities, a vibrant, welcoming city with beautiful homes, established neighborhoods, and an easy access to nature that complements its thriving cultural and economic scene.
The Challenge
What Wasn’t Working
- A bathroom that did not feel like the homeowner's own - dated, uninspiring, and not a space she was proud of
- Outdated tile in the shower with a curtain rather than a glass door
- Old tile countertop and cabinetry lacking style or warmth
- Flooring that did not support a cohesive, updated aesthetic
While the bathroom was functional, it lacked the luxurious feel the homeowners envisioned. Transforming the space into a true spa-like retreat required rethinking the layout, upgrading the finishes, and overcoming structural constraints to create a more relaxing experience.

To solve the bathroom’s layout and style challenges, DreamMaker redesigned the master bath with improved flow, custom storage, natural light, and a clean modern finish. Removing the unused Jacuzzi unlocked the footprint entirely, custom cabinetry made every inch purposeful, and thoughtful material choices brought the spa-like atmosphere the homeowners had always wanted.
Key Improvements included:
- Vanity updated with bright maple cabinetry - warm, light, and stylish
- Old tile countertop replaced with a new quartz countertop
- Subtle mirrored medicine cabinet doors adding playfulness and light
- Outdated shower tile replaced with white subway tile - matching the quartz countertops
- New shower fixture installed throughout
- Glass shower door installed in place of the old shower curtain
- Black hardware added throughout - creating a stunning contrast against the white subway tile
- New flooring installed to update the complete aesthetic of the space
