Amy Brown, Marketing Director for DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen by Worldwide®, has been named the chairwoman for the 2004 Marketing & Communications Committee of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).

The NKBA, a not-for-profit trade association with more than 21,000 members, has educated and led the kitchen and bath industry for more than 40 years.

"Amy’s involvement at the highest national levels of our industry is a great testament to the job that she does for DreamMaker," said Doug Dwyer, president of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen. "Her experience in the kitchen and bath industry and her desire to stay on top of the leading changes in our profession make her a great asset for the NKBA’s committee."

As chairwoman of the NKBA’s Marketing & Communications Committee, Brown will head a group of 7 peers from top kitchen and bath companies across the U.S. The group will conduct regular conference calls as well as in-person meetings at scheduled NKBA events. The committee’s charge is to work with the professional marketing and public relations staff in the development of appropriate strategies, programs and services to achieve the objectives of the NKBA Strategic Plan.

"We have looked at providing tools for NKBA members to promote their affiliation and certifications with the NKBA at the local level to consumers," Brown said. "We want to increase consumer awareness of the confidence they can have in working with an NKBA professional."

Brown’s duties for DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen involve overseeing national marketing efforts for the international remodeling franchise such as: the production of television commercials; the writing, design and distribution of print advertising and marketing collateral; management of internal communications; participation in national home improvement shows on network and cable television; distribution of company news and more.
